Fujiholics Liverpool photowalk 2016

What an amazing day! I've never really tried street photography but now being a fuji photographer and part of the Fujiholics I was given the chance to take part in a free workshop with Fuji X Photographer Matt Hart and the rest of the clan. The day consisted of a guided walk around the city on a designated route taking shots as we go. On the job guides and techniques from Matt and other street photographers were there whenever needed.

To be honest as we started the walk it was very difficult to find those images I wanted, mostly due to nerves, how do you take a picture of someone without them fully knowing about it but at the same time not just snapping away at everything and anything that caught my eye. I found quickly that if I took my time and stood still for a while some images would come to me. Imaging the old arcade game with the moles popping up and you having to hit them when they did. I found it to be in some way the same thing. Imagine and image, compose the shot and wait for that something special that finishes the image to come in. Now that's not alway the case, in some cases I found myself having to find the shot, see my subject and guess what they were going to do, then try to get the shot I wanted.

All in all it was an amazing learning experience for me and I want to learn more about street photography and pass it over to my wedding work. Try to create more images with meaning, emotion and most of all a story.

I hope you enjoy looking at some of my images from the day and maybe join us on the nex one!

All images taken with Fuji X-T1 with 23mm F1.4 and 56mm F1.2
