Set in the Cheshire countryside near Nantwich, Dorfold is a wedding venue that beautifully balances heritage and modern celebration. With ceremonies for up to 160 guests, evening celebrations for up to 200, open-fire feasting, roaring fires, outdoor fire pits and a late licence until 1am, Dorfold feels made for couples who want a wedding that is elegant without being stiff — timeless, warm, and full of life.

What a day this was. Susanna and Chad’s wedding at Dorfold Hall was an absolute joy to photograph from start to finish. Full of warmth, laughter, and a proper celebration atmosphere, it was one of those days that reminded me exactly why I love doing what I do!

Dorfold Hall, Cripps & Co’s newest addition to their incredible family of wedding venues, was the perfect setting for Susanna and Chad’s big day. Tucked away in the beautiful Cheshire countryside, it has that rare mix of grandeur and relaxed charm. It feels impressive without ever feeling too formal, and every corner offers something special — from the historic surroundings to the beautifully restored spaces that are just made for a wedding celebration.

The ceremony took place in the stunning Stable, which really is such a unique and characterful space. As Susanna made her entrance and walked down the aisle towards Chad, the room was filled with that wonderful mix of nerves, excitement and emotion. Their vows were personal and it was clear to see just how much this moment meant to them both. Photographing those little glances, smiles and quiet reactions from their family and friends was such a privilege.

After the ceremony, the celebrations flowed beautifully. Dorfold Hall gives guests so many lovely spaces to enjoy, and the relaxed countryside setting created the perfect backdrop for drinks, laughter and those all-important natural moments in between. Susanna and Chad were surrounded by the people who mean the most to them, and the whole day had such a genuine, happy energy.

As the evening arrived, the party really got going — and what a party it was. Friends and family filled the dance floor, the atmosphere lifted another notch, and the celebrations carried on in true style. There were plenty of brilliant moves, big laughs, and joyful moments to capture, making the evening just as memorable as the ceremony itself.

A huge mention has to go to Dorfold Hall and the Cripps & Co team. I’ve been lucky enough to photograph weddings here several times now, and every visit reminds me what a fantastic venue it is. The setting is beautiful, the spaces are full of character, and the staff are always brilliant. Their attention to detail, calm organisation and warm hospitality help everything run so smoothly, allowing couples and their guests to simply relax and enjoy the day.
