Sophie and Alberto’s Autumn Wedding at Lancashire Manor Hotel

What a lovely day celebrating Sophie and Alberto’s wedding at Lancashire Manor Hotel! Despite the autumn weather bringing us rain from morning until evening, nothing was going to dampen the spirits of this wonderful family celebration.

With their three children joining them for such an important occasion, the day had a particularly personal feel. It was very much a family wedding, with everyone coming together to celebrate Sophie and Alberto becoming husband and wife.

Lancashire Manor Hotel provided a beautiful setting for their celebrations. The venue has plenty of character and a welcoming atmosphere, making it a great choice for couples wanting to enjoy their wedding surrounded by the people closest to them.

The ceremony was a particularly special part of the day. Watching Sophie and Alberto exchange their vows with their children and loved ones there to share the moment was lovely to capture. There were plenty of smiles around the room, and it was clear just how much the occasion meant to the whole family.

Following the ceremony, everyone settled into the afternoon celebrations, enjoying drinks and spending time together while the rain continued outside. As a Lancashire wedding photographer, you quickly learn to work with whatever the British weather decides to throw at you! With no opportunity to head into the grounds, we made the most of the indoor spaces at Lancashire Manor Hotel for Sophie and Alberto’s couple portraits.

I always prefer to keep these photographs natural, and the softer light indoors gave us some lovely opportunities to capture the newlyweds without taking them away from their guests for too long. Throughout the afternoon, there were also plenty of family moments to photograph. Having their three children involved made the day feel even more personal, and capturing those interactions was just as important as photographing Sophie and Alberto together.

As the wedding breakfast got underway, everyone could relax and enjoy the celebrations. The atmosphere was wonderful, with the rainy weather outside making the reception feel even more welcoming. Later in the evening, guests gathered around the dance floor as Sophie and Alberto enjoyed their first dance together before the party continued. It was such an enjoyable wedding to photograph, and a lovely reminder that a little rain really doesn’t matter when you’re surrounded by the people you love.
