Chinese Wedding Photographer Manchester

It was a pleasure photographing Su-Man and Paul’s Chinese wedding yesterday with all their closest family and friends in attendance. The venues the bride and groom chose for their wedding was Halle St Peters and Yang Sing, both in Manchester city centre. Both Venues Su-Man and Paul chose to celebrate their wedding day are without doubt two of the most beautiful venues for any city centre wedding in Manchester. I truly am very honoured that I’m able to visit these stunning venues to capture beautiful and traditional weddings of all cultures and faiths.

The happy couple could not have picked better places for their wedding to be held. The wonderful British weather was to be kind to the newly weds all day, the sun threatened to show its face throughout the day but better, the rain stayed away which allowed Su-Man and Paul to enjoy their wedding day and later, take a small walk to some of their favourite locations around Manchester city centre for some relaxed portraits of the newly weds.

Su-Man began her wedding day celebrations getting her hair and make up done with her girls at home, those first few hours were the perfect way to start her story. Paul and his boys has time to prepare themselves for the day before heading home where Su-Mans girls had prepared a round of traditional Chinese door games. The air was filled with nerves, but as soon at the Chinese door games started this soon changed to excitement as the wedding ceremony drew closer. A short walk over to Su-Mans parents home where close family members celebrated the day with a traditional tea ceremony.

Family and friends present at Halle St Peter witnessed Su-Man and Paul exchange vows in an emotional yet personal wedding ceremony. Once the happy couple became husband and wife we headed outside for the all important confetti shot, which didn’t disappoint! Drinks, food and group shots were next for the wedding party before making their way across the city centre to Yang Sing where round two of the newly weds tea ceremony would begin.

While guests heading over to Yang Sing, Su-Man, Pauls and I took a little time to capture some relaxed portraits around Manchester city centre. The spectacular and stunning areas in and around the city centre were stunning and with the weather being nice to us during the day we were so pleased that this would be possible, the bride and groom couldn’t of asked for better weather during their special day. As a wedding photographer in Manchester I always have a fantastic time photographing weddings around this beautiful part of the country.

Relaxed Chinese Wedding

Once at Yang Sing a few traditonal Chinese wedding customs followed. It was great to be part of the Chinese tea ceremony where friends and family gave the happy couple gifts to celebrate their marriage. Food was then served to the bridal party and guests. There was a joyful vibe during the reception and all the moments I photographed during the celebrations were worth a thousand words. It was truly a special day and one I will remember forever.

All in all I had an absolute blast at Su-Man and Paul's traditional Chinese wedding in Manchester city centre. Thank you to all the newly weds family and friends for making me feel so welcome during the wedding day, I hope to see you all again soon at another wedding!

Adam Joe.
