Spring Cottage Wedding Venue in Rivington, Lancashire

I absolutely loved capturing Becca and Martin's wedding day yesterday. The couple celebrated at Spring Cottage in RIvington, Lancashire. I was ecstatic to photograph my first wedding at Spring Cottage, it is a superb and unique venue for any rustic, quirky or relaxed wedding and with the unbelievably beautiful grounds attached it makes the perfect location to celebrate your day. I’m already looking forward to more wedding photography there!

Becca was delighted that finally, she could walk down the aisle to marry her soul mate. The wedding ceremony celebrated at Wigan Town Hall was marvellous, the photographs I took there definitely have a "love is in the air" vibe to them. It is truly an amazing job working as a wedding photographer in Lancashire.

Becca and Martin interacted freely with their guests once we all arrived at the reception. The surroundings were wonderful and fun for all. I was still on the lookout to catch awesome candid moments on camera and with a wheel barrow full of welcome drinks greeting their guests as they arrived at Spring Cottage, this gave me a little more time to snap those moments for the newly weds.

One of my favourite moments of the day was when I was capturing Becca and Martin in the grounds of Spring Cottage during their wedding day portraits. I tend to keep my couples portraits as natural and relaxed as possible but with the breathtaking grounds and stunning colours I had to keep them for a few more minutes than normal! I think it was a great decision as the images we captured really are amazing memories that the happy couple can cherish forever.

There are some real advantages to getting married in late summer. It was a bit overcast for some of the day which really helped with photography but also the rain stayed off which was a blessing for the bride and groom. Having a later sunset helped also as we were able to go back out later on in the day with Becca and Martin for some additional portraits.

All the guests were keen not to miss the beautiful food provided by the staff at Spring Cottage. The amazing atmosphere that Spring Cottage provided was a perfect setting for the wedding breakfast, the whole process was more of an experience for everyone involved than just a traditional wedding breakfast.

The night ended with guests crowding round the outdoor stage to watch Becca and Martin enjoying their first dance together. Fresh Pizza’s cooked to perfection were the perfect late night snack to keep their guest fuelled up for the party ahead.

Becca and Martin's wedding was one of the loveliest weddings I have shot and I wish them a heartfelt congratulations.

Enjoy! Adam Joe.
