Laura and Nathan’s wedding at Styal Lodge was one of those days that reminded me exactly why I love being a Cheshire wedding photographer. From the moment I arrived, there was a relaxed atmosphere, with everyone excited to celebrate alongside the happy couple.

Surrounded by their family and friends, Laura and Nathan exchanged vows during a beautiful ceremony before the celebrations carried on long into the evening. There were so many genuine moments throughout the day, from the nervous excitement before the ceremony to the laughter during the drinks reception and the packed dance floor later that night. It was a real pleasure to capture it all.

Styal Lodge is always a fantastic venue to photograph. Set in the Cheshire countryside, it offers a bright, modern space for ceremonies and receptions, while the gardens provide the perfect setting for relaxed couple portraits. No matter how many times I return, there is always something new to discover, and every wedding has its own unique feel.

One of my favourite parts of the day was taking Laura and Nathan away for a few quiet minutes after the wedding breakfast. It gave them a chance to pause, enjoy being newly married and spend a little time together while we created some natural portraits around the grounds. These are often the moments couples tell me they remember most, as the day passes so quickly.

As the afternoon unfolded, guests enjoyed catching up with one another, sharing stories and making memories together. The speeches brought plenty of laughter along with a few emotional moments, creating some brilliant reactions that are always a joy to photograph. By the evening, the celebrations were in full swing, with everyone making the most of the singing waiters and then the dance floor and helping Laura and Nathan end their wedding day in style.
