Sophie and Brian’s Summer Wedding at DoubleTree by Hilton Chester

What a lovely wedding for Sophie and Brian at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Chester. It’s always great to return to this Cheshire wedding venue. With beautiful grounds surrounding the hotel and plenty of space for celebrations inside, there are lots of opportunities for photography throughout the day. Sophie spent the morning getting ready at the DoubleTree with her bridal party. As the final preparations came together, the excitement started to build while Brian welcomed their family and friends ahead of the ceremony. The couple chose to marry indoors, surrounded by everyone closest to them. It was a lovely ceremony and a pleasure to capture the moment Sophie and Brian finally became husband and wife.

Following the ceremony, everyone headed to the drinks reception to enjoy the drinks and spend some time together. This gave Sophie and Brian the chance to relax with their guests while I concentrated on capturing the day naturally along with those important family group photos. These parts of a wedding are always great for candid photography, with plenty happening without the need to organise anything. The British summer weather brought us a little wind, but thankfully the rain stayed away for a small part of the day where we made the most of it and headed into the grounds with Sophie and Brian for some relaxed couple portraits and a confetti shot with family and friends.

The grounds around the DoubleTree provide some lovely backdrops, and we kept the photographs informal so the newlyweds could enjoy a little time together before getting back to the celebrations. It was another brilliant wedding to photograph in Chester and such an enjoyable day from beginning to end.
