Kayleigh and Stephen’s Wedding at Titanic Hotel Liverpool

What a brilliant day celebrating Kayleigh and Stephen’s wedding at the Titanic Hotel in Liverpool. It’s always a pleasure to return to this incredible venue. The Titanic Hotel has such a distinctive character, with its industrial heritage and huge open spaces making it unlike anywhere else in the city. There’s so much to work with from a photography point of view, and every wedding I capture here seems to bring something different. The day began with plenty of excitement as Kayleigh prepared to finally make that walk down the aisle and marry Stephen. Their ceremony took place in the impressive Rum Warehouse, a space that really comes into its own when it’s filled with wedding guests. Watching Kayleigh enter and seeing Stephen’s reaction was one of those moments I knew I wanted to capture perfectly. With everyone gathered around them, Kayleigh and Stephen exchanged their vows and officially became husband and wife.

Once the ceremony was over, the atmosphere quickly changed from anticipation to celebration. Kayleigh and Stephen could finally relax, grab a drink and spend some time with their guests. For me, this is always a great opportunity to step back from anything organised and concentrate on candid photography. There’s usually something happening in every direction during a drinks reception. Guests catching up, hugs between family members and plenty of laughter all make their way into the final gallery without anyone really being aware of the camera. We also found some time to take Kayleigh and Stephen away for their wedding portraits around the Titanic Hotel. The scale and character of the building makes it an amazing location for couple photographs. I prefer to keep this part of the day fairly short and relaxed, allowing the couple to enjoy a few minutes together without feeling as though they’ve disappeared from their own wedding for a photoshoot. Even when the Liverpool weather decides not to cooperate completely, there are plenty of options around the hotel. The architecture itself provides some fantastic backdrops and softer natural light can often work beautifully for portraits.

Liverpool Wedding Photographer at the Titanic Hotel

One of the things I love about photographing weddings at the Titanic Hotel is just how different it feels from many other Liverpool wedding venues. Its history is still very much part of the building, and the original industrial features give photographs a recognisable look without needing much intervention from me. The Rum Warehouse in particular makes an impressive setting for a large celebration. After the afternoon reception, everyone headed inside for the wedding breakfast. Seeing the Rum Warehouse transformed for Kayleigh and Stephen’s celebration was fantastic. The room looked incredible filled with their family and friends, and the team at the Titanic Hotel made sure everything flowed smoothly as everyone settled in for the evening. Later, it was time for Kayleigh and Stephen to take to the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife. Their guests gathered around to watch before joining them and getting the evening celebrations properly underway. What a way to finish such an enjoyable wedding. Congratulations again, Kayleigh and Stephen. Thank you for trusting me to photograph your wedding and allowing me to be such a big part of the day. It was an absolute pleasure capturing it for you both. A huge thank you as well to the team at the Titanic Hotel Liverpool for looking after everyone so well and making us feel welcome throughout the day.

Enjoy your sneak peek!

Enjoy!

Adam Joe.
