Wennington Hall Exclusive Wedding Venue, elegant and stunning.

What a wonderful day celebrating Libby and Theo’s wedding at Wennington Hall in Lancaster. It was a real pleasure to spend the day with them and capture everything as it unfolded at this beautiful Lancashire wedding venue. Wennington Hall has so much character and provides a fantastic setting for photography, both inside the house and throughout the surrounding grounds.

The morning began with Libby getting ready alongside her bridal party. There were a few understandable nerves as the ceremony approached, but plenty of excitement too. One of my favourite moments came when Libby finally made her entrance and saw Theo waiting for her. Those few seconds as a couple first see each other are always special to photograph. The nerves seem to disappear and suddenly the day they’ve spent so long planning is actually happening. With their family and friends watching on, Libby and Theo exchanged their vows and officially became husband and wife.

Wennington Hall Wedding Photography

After the ceremony, everyone had the chance to relax and enjoy the reception at Wennington Hall. This part of a wedding is always one of my favourite times to photograph too. There’s very little need to organise anything and I can simply move around the celebration capturing people enjoying themselves. It’s often where some of the most genuine photographs of the day come from. Guests enjoyed drinks around the venue while Libby and Theo had time to catch up with everyone. There was such a lovely atmosphere throughout the afternoon, with plenty happening wherever you looked. We also took a little time after the wedding breakfast to head outside for some photographs of the newlyweds. Rather than turning this into a long photoshoot, I always like to keep couple portraits relaxed. It’s also a rare opportunity during a busy wedding day for the bride and groom to disappear for a few minutes, have a chat and actually take in what has just happened! Wennington Hall gave us a fantastic backdrop for these photographs, particularly around the front of the venue and within its grounds.

Lancashire Wedding Photographer at Wennington Hall

As a Lancashire wedding photographer, it’s always great to discover venues that offer something a little different. Wennington Hall certainly does that. Located near Lancaster and surrounded by beautiful Lancashire countryside, the venue has retained plenty of its original character while offering a stylish setting for modern weddings. There are lots of different areas to work with throughout the day, meaning the photography never needs to feel repetitive. Once everyone was seated for the wedding breakfast, it wasn’t long before it was time for the speeches. Speeches are always unpredictable, which is exactly why I enjoy photographing them. Reactions from the couple and their guests can make some of the best photographs in the finished gallery, and Libby and Theo’s wedding was no exception.

As evening arrived, attention eventually turned towards the dance floor. Libby and Theo shared their first dance surrounded by everyone who had spent the day celebrating alongside them, before their guests joined them and the party properly got underway. It was a fantastic wedding to be part of and a brilliant introduction to photographing a wedding at Wennington Hall.

Congratulations again, Libby and Theo. Thank you for trusting me to capture your day and for making me feel so welcome throughout.

Enjoy your sneak peek!
